At Confirmation, we reaffirm the faith into which we have been baptised and declare publicly our intention to live a life of committed discipleship. The confirming Bishop then places his hands on our head and prays that the Holy Spirit will give us strength to be faithful followers of Christ.
We warmly welcome to Baptism and Confirmation those who live within our parish or who worship regularly with us.
Younger children are normally baptised at one of the two Baptism services we hold each month. These Baptism services take place at our parish church at 11.30am on Sundays. (In certain circumstances, it may be possible to arrange for a Baptism to be part of the main Sunday service instead.)

Before you can set a date for the Baptism of your child, you will need to attend a Baptism Preparation Class at our parish centre. To arrange this, please contact us.
We normally hold a Confirmation Service in the Spring of each year. This service provides an opportunity for both adults and older children to be confirmed. Where an unbaptised adult or older child seeks Baptism, their Baptism and Confirmation take place together at this service.
Before they can be confirmed, both children and adults will need to attend a course of Confirmation preparation here. In order to arrange this, children should be in touch with us in the previous September, at the latest, and adults by the beginning of the calendar year.
