Over 2,700 people gathered in our parish’s churches at special Christmas services this year, including more than 1,200 children and young people. At the Parish of Oxton, we celebrated the birth of Christ in huge range of ways – everything from our Crib Service to our Christmas Morning Eucharists, taking in our Christingle Services, our Community Carol Service at St Andrew’s, our traditional ‘Nine Lessons & Carols’ Service at St Saviour’s, our school services, and our Christmas Eve Midnight Eucharist along the way.
While Christmastide comes to a close on 5 January, in Church the Season of Epiphany is just getting under way. This lasts throughout January, and is a time when Anglican Christians think about the identity of Jesus – who he is and what that can mean for us. Want to know more? Why not come along to one of our services this Epiphanytide?
