Our Parish Church has a long choral tradition, and we continue to value choral music today.
Our Church Choir sings at services on Sundays (except the first Sunday of each month) at 9.30am and 6.30pm, at major festivals such as Christmas and Easter, and occasionally at other events. Rehearsals take place on a Thursday evening at 7.30pm.
We’re always keen to welcome new members – both adults and children. If you would like to get involved, please phone our Director of Music, Glyn Môn Hughes, on 0151 608 3361 or 07979 815419.
Members of the Occasional Choir at St Saviour’s supplement our Church Choir for Choral Evensong once a month and at major festivals. Other events include carol services in December and a setting of the Passion narrative in Passiontide.
If you would like to be involved in this way, you would need to attend at least two rehearsals prior to the particular event. Please phone our Director of Music directly, to enquire.
Our informal Nave Choir sings at our Family Service on the morning of the first Sunday of each month. If you’d like to be involved, please simply turn up in the choir vestry half an hour before the start of the service.
Our choir has a long tradition of singing cathedral services during the summer months and this tradition has recently been revived. In August 2015 the members of the Church Choir and Occasional Choir sang three services at Lichfield Cathedral. Click here for more details.
