Twice a year, on Wednesday evenings, we have a series of evenings which help us to explore together a theme in the Christian life.
In the run-up to Advent each year, we provide a series of evenings entitled “Beat the Christmas Rush”. These take the form of a short talk followed by small-group discussion. Recent years have seen series on ‘Joy’ and ‘The Samaritan Woman at the Well’. Curious? Why not come along this November?
In Lent each year, we have a series of short services which include a reflective talk. We call these our ‘Lent talks’. The service is one of the most beautiful Christian services, ‘Compline’ – a quiet and contemplative service for night time which traces its roots back to the sixth century communities founded by St Benedict. The talks have ranged over a wide variety of topics in recent years – from ‘The Cross of Jesus’ to ‘Beginning Again’. All are welcome.
