Children: aged 0-11

Children are welcome at all of our services.

Our 10.45am Sunday service is an informal, all-age service, and this is where most children at St Saviour’s worship. Our children’s groups form part of this service.

Messy Church also meets once a month, normally on a Wednesday – providing an opportunity for the whole family to have fun and worship together.

Stepping Stones, our baby and toddler group, meet on a Monday morning during term time.

Children's Groups

Our Sunday morning children’s groups meet at our 10.45am service in term time, except on the 1st Sunday of the month.

We have groups for children from birth to the end of Primary School.

  • Sand – from birth till the start of Primary School – children must be accompanied by a parent/carer
  • Pebbles – for children in FS2 [Reception Class] and Key Stage 1
  • Rocks – for children in Key Stage 2

In these groups, children interact with a Bible story, using craft, role play, discussion, and other fun activities.

Messy Church

Church, but not as you know it

Messy Church is a way of being church for families and others. It is Christ-centred, for all ages, based on creativity, hospitality and celebration. We invite you to join us for fun, fellowship, crafts, food, and a chance to explore a Bible story.

Our St Saviour’s Messy Church normally meets once a month, on a Wednesday at our Parish Centre. For the date of our next meeting, click here.

Doors open 3.30pm, prompt start at 3.45pm, and finishes at 5.30pm. To cover the cost of refreshments and resources, a voluntary donation of £1.50 per child is welcomed (under 2’s free).

Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones is our baby and toddler group.

We run each Monday morning during term time and provide a safe space for children and their carers to meet for play, socialising, tea and toast in a relaxed atmosphere.

Youth

If you’re aged 10-18, we’d love for you to get involved.

If you’re in School Years 5 or 6 at St Saviour’s School, why not give NextGen Disciples a try?

If you’re in School Years 6 – 10, we’d love to see you at Engage – games, food, and an opportunity to learn more about God.

NextGen Disciples

NextGen Disciples is the name for our Bible Study groups for children in Year 5 and Year 6 at St Saviour’s School.

These opt-in Bible Studies take place fortnightly at school and enable children to grow in confidence and knowledge as they engage with God’s Word.

Engage

Fellowship and food for young people in School Years 6–10.

Engage meets at our Parish Centre, 6.15pm till 7.30pm on selected Sundays across the year. Our next meetings are on 22 January, 12 February, 12 March, and 26 March.
