Games, fun, enjoying one another’s company, and seeking to live out our faith in our daily lives.
Our vision is to partner with parents and carers to help children to know and experience God’s love for them, to have fun, and to learn what following Jesus means.
On Sundays at St Saviour’s, we give you and your family a number of different options so you can choose the thing that works best for you.
Children are welcome at all our services.
Sand, Pebbles and Rocks – Church for children!
Most Sundays in term-time at 10.45am, we have three popular services created especially for children.
‘Sand’ is for younger children (from birth till the start of school), accompanied by a parent/carer.
‘Pebbles’ is for children in Reception and Key Stage 1 at school.
‘Rocks’ is for children in Key Stage 2 at school.
Do come along!
Every Sunday at 10.45am we have an informal service with a relaxed atmosphere.
On the first Sunday of each month, our worship is more child-friendly and our worship band leads the music.
Toy bags are available for younger children.
Our formal Sunday service take place at 8.00am on the first Sunday of each month, and at 9.15am on all other Sundays. Some children prefer to stay with their family in these services – and that’s great!
Toy bags are available for younger children, and at 9.15am we have a special service book to help children to follow the service.
Refreshments for both adults and children are available between from 10.15am till 10.45am – please do come along!
If your child is worshipping at our Sand, Pebbles or Rocks services, please register your child before the service begins.
Applying for St Saviour’s School? Our PCC operates a scheme which allows parents to record their attendance at church each week. The church uses this register when it is asked to support an application for a place at St Saviour’s School. If you would like to have more information about this, please speak to one of the clergy or contact our Parish Office.
Sacraments of initiation? If you’d like to know more about Baptism (Christening), Confirmation, and Admission to Holy Communion, please speak with one of the clergy.
Safeguarding – Our PCC is committed to the protection of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All those working with children, young people or adults at risk in regulated activity require a DBS disclosure as part of the safer recruitment procedures which are in place in our parish in line with diocesan guidelines.
