The Archbishops of Canterbury and York have joined Pope Francis and many Christian leaders across the world naming Ash Wednesday, 2 March, as a Day of Fasting and Prayer for Peace.
Our Parish Church will be open from 10.00am till 1.00pm on Ash Wednesday for private prayer.
This Wednesday, please fast and pray for peace, and in particular for:
- the ending of the war of aggression being waged against Ukraine;
- the re-establishment of international law;
- all those who are suffering, displaced, or bereaved;
- politicians and others seeking a peaceful and just resolution;
- all who are working for the relief of suffering;
- those who have lost their lives.
