Christians have a distinctive understanding of generosity; it shapes and changes how we live, and all our decisions and actions.
Living generously – giving and sharing – is at the heart of our faith.
Everything that happens through St Saviour’s involves people giving and sharing their time, their talents, and their money.
It costs around £4,000 per week to fund our Church’s work. We are entirely self-funding and receive no central government support. So every one of us has an important part to play in enabling the Church to grow and flourish and to make a real difference in the lives of others.
There are many ways to play your part in meeting the financial costs of your church’s ministry and mission. Please consider what options are best for you.
Parish Giving Scheme

If you are considering a regular donation to our Church, please consider using the Parish Giving Scheme.
How it Works
The scheme enables you to:
- Give monthly, quarterly or annually by Direct Debit
- Sign up to inflation linked giving annually, if you choose
- Enhance your gift to the parish by having Gift Aid at 25% added to your giving
- Give anonymously, if you prefer
- Give securely
There are three ways in which you can set up a Direct Debit to give regularly to your church or parish:
- Via the Parish Giving Scheme website at https://www.parishgiving.org.uk/donors/find-your-parish/oxton-st-saviour-wirral/
- Call the Parish Giving Scheme team on 0333 002 1271. Lines are open Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. The call is expected to last approximately 15 minutes. You will need to have your bank account details to hand, and quote Oxton Saint Saviour’s PGS code 090609010.
- Via a paper ‘Gift Form’ – A partially completed form is available from the Parish Office, or it can be downloaded using the button below
A short video which describes these options is shown below:
